I do commissioned work! Based on your vision, I’ll breathe new life into a tired old piece. Or, if you are just wanting to update the colour or stain on a piece you already own… I do that too! It’s all in the detail... PREP WORK - The quality of a finished look greatly depends upon the initial preparation. I start by repairing any problem areas that need to be addressed. Then, pieces are sanded and/or primed to ensure a durable, long lasting finish. PAINTS - Whether I use existing colours from imported and/or domestic premium chalk or mineral paint or a custom mix of my own, my pieces are one of a kind that you won’t find anywhere else. I can even colour coordinate with your home‘s decor! STAINS - I use existing colours from premium company stains or mix up my own. I also do custom colour washes and faux wood techniques. HARDWARE - Like jewlery, it provides the finishing touch that brings the whole piece together! Whether cleaning and polishing the original or adding brand new, this detail enhances the overall look. ACCENT WAXES - These serve to highlight or shade areas providing a certain warmth and depth to a piece. SPECIAL EFFECTS - Raised stenciling, decoupage, transfers - these are special extra touches which add to the uniqueness of a piece. EXTRAS - Attention to detail is not just devoted to the exterior, but also to the interior. Extra touches like beautiful drawer liners and scented waxes provide each piece a distinct one of a kind feel! PROTECTION - High quality, durable finishes are achieved by using paint with builtt-in top coats, final wet sanding and multiple coats of high performance sealer.
